Princeville Botanical Gardens and two other beautiful gardens located on the North Shore 

The North Shore is blessed with three beautiful Botanical Gardens.

Princeville Botanical Gardens
Originally something that started as a personal hobby of Bill and Lucinda Robertson in 2001 has expanded into scenic gardens featuring lush fruit trees and cacao orchards, plus fruit and chocolate tastings. In August of 2010, the Robertsons decided to share their garden with the public and opened it for small, guided tours.

Limahuli Garden and Preserve
For 1,500 years the Limahuli Valley has been a Hawaiian place. It was gifted to the non-profit National Tropical Botanical Garden in 1994 and today it is one of their five tropical botanical gardens. Limahuli is one of the last easily accessible valleys with intact archaeological complexes, native forest, a pristine stream, and the presence of the descendants of the valley’s original inhabitants caring for it. It won several awards including the “Best Natural Botanical Garden” award from American Horticultural Society.

Na ‘Aina Kai Botanical Gardens & Sculpture Park
Founders Joyce and Ed Doty retired to Kauai and what started as a landscape project in their front yard has grown to 240 acres of diverse gardens and one of the largest collections of bronze sculpture in the U.S. and one of the best botanical gardens on the North Shore. They donated in 1999 to a not-for-profit foundation, and opened Na ‘Āina Kai to the public.
