Ohana FitFest Returns October 18: Run, Walk, Have Fun and Give Back

Children and adults start an outdoor charity race

Registration is now open for the 13th Annual Ohana FitFest, bringing fitness, fun and community spirit together on Kauaʻi’s North Shore. The event will be at Anaina Hou Community Park and the scenic Wai Koa Trail in Kīlauea, Kauai.

Whether you’re a serious runner, weekend walker, parent with keiki, or just looking for a fun way to get moving, there’s a FitFest experience for you.

Choose Your Challenge:

The 5K Obstacle Trail Run/Walk includes a family-friendly obstacle playground that makes FitFest much more than an ordinary 5K. Climb, crawl, slip-n-slide, and have fun along the way. Obstacles are optional for walkers.

For runners looking for more of a challenge, the 10K Trail Run offers a scenic course through the Wai Koa Trail and the natural beauty of Kauaʻi’s North Shore. There are no obstacles for the 10K Trail Run.

Runners and walkers can also create or join a team and link their registration to the team. Fun prizes will be given away for the Fastest Team, Largest Team, Team with the Most Spirit, and new this year, Team with Best Costume.

Fun and Fitness That Gives Back:

Ohana FitFest is also a fundraiser with a long history of giving back. Since its inception, Ohana FitFest has donated over $160,000 to local nonprofits.

Proceeds are donated to North Shore elementary schools and the new Namahana School, and support other North Shore Give programs including North Shore Ready and Gift of Health.

North Shore Ready is expanding disaster preparedness, CERT and lifesaving skills training. Gift of Health is helping expand medical services at Makana North Shore Urgent Care, the only urgent care serving this community with no hospital.
