Mahalo to North Shore Volunteers: A Beautiful Day of Gratitude and Aloha

This past Sunday, more than 45 dedicated volunteers gathered at ʻĀina Ho’okupu o Kīlauea for the North Shore Give Volunteer Picnic — a special afternoon filled with gratitude, connection, and celebration.

Set against the lush backdrop of the Kīlauea Agricultural Park, the event served as a heartfelt mahalo to the many individuals who devote their time and energy to lifting up the North Shore community. These volunteers are the heart of North Shore Give, supporting projects that foster resilience, nourishment, and wellbeing across the region.

Hosted under the shade of the open-air pavilion, attendees enjoyed a locally sourced farm-to-table meal prepared by ʻĀina Ho’okupu o Kīlauea. The food and drinks were as vibrant and nourishing as the spirit of those gathered — a true testament to the values of community and sustainability we all share.

Laughter, music, and warm conversations filled the air as new connections were made and old friendships rekindled. The gathering reinforced a simple but powerful truth: that collective action, when fueled by aloha, makes a lasting difference.

To every volunteer who joined us — and to those who support from near and far — mahalo nui loa. Your generosity, humility, and service continue to inspire and strengthen our North Shore ʻohana.

We look forward to continuing this work together, rooted in gratitude and united by purpose.

With appreciation,
The North Shore Give ʻOhana
