Two lists. First the weekly / reoccurring events and secondly the annual / one-off events.
For residents looking to attend specific community activities such Bridge, Yoga, Dance Classes, AA meetings, Pet Loss Support Group, etc. in the Princeville Community Center visit their online site for specific details, venues and times.

Section 1: Weekly or Reoccurring Events
Ahi Lele Fire Show (every Wednesday. Additional Friday showings June – August)
Polynesian fire dance and drum show providing a journey through Hawaiian culture and history.
Time: Starts at 6:00PM with dinner Luau box, the coconut pre-show starts at 7:00PM and the fire show begins at 7:30pm.
Where: Open-air Porter Pavilion (Seats are set up in pods of 2 – 5 seats.)

Anaina Hou Lanai Live Entertainment (almost every day)
Live music or trivia night depending on day.

Anaina Hou Farmers Market (every Saturday)
Some 40 artisans and vendors provide local produces, fish, juices, meals, baked goods, crafts and music.

Grow Aloha Plant Giveaway (3rd Saturday of every month)
Time: 9:00AM – 12:00PM
Where: Limahuli Garden & Preserve
When we grow Hawaiian native plants and heritage crops, we grow aloha for ʻāina. Adopt one of these cherished plants at the National Tropical Botanical Garden locations on Kauaʻi. Grow Aloha plant adoptions are free and open to Hawai’i residents (one per family). Please note that plants are subject to availability and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Hanalei Farmers Market (every Saturday)
Large produce market, with grown fruits & vegetables, food artisans, and handmade crafts. Various tasty treats highlighting the culinary talents of the local area.

Makai Music & Art Festival (every Wednesday)
An assortment of handmade jewelry, crafts, art, and much more by local vendors.

Princeville Night Market (2nd Sunday of every month)
40 different Kauai artisans, diverse products such as wood carvings, handmade jewelry, local skincare, photography, live music, and food trucks.
Time: 4:00PM – 8:00PM

Waipa Farmers Market (every Tuesday)

Waipa Community Workday (4th Saturday of every month)
A monthly volunteer event hosted by the Waipa Foundation,
focused on mālama ʻāina (caring for the land) through invasive species removal, native planting, harvesting traditional crops like taro and breadfruit,
and general landscaping, followed by a community meal and connection to Hawaiian culture and land stewardship. RSVP required.

Princeville Events Calendar for 2025 – Section 2: Annual or One-off Events
Saturday January 10 – North Shore Lions Club Annual Golf Tournament
This event is the Lion’s Club largest fundraiser event of the year and 100% of the profits go towards Educational Scholarships for worthy North Shore students.

Sunday January 18 – Martin Luther King Celebration
Join in Princeville for the Steps to Peace celebrations at the Princeville Makai Golf Course.
Tuesday January 20 – Princeville Moʻolelo: “Mōlī of Kauaʻi – A rare treasure among us.”
Speaker: Hob Osterlund
Time: 5:00PM – 6:30PM
The North Shore of Kauaʻi is the only place in the world where the beloved mōlī, or Laysan albatross, nests within a human community.
Speaker Hob Osterlund is an award-winning author, photographer, birding guide, Safina Center Fellow, guest lecturer and more.

Monday March 9 – Saturday March 21: 3rd Annual North Shore Online Charity Auction
Hosted by North Shore Give, this 2-week online auction features over 100 items like getaways, local experiences, art, collectibles and more.
Anyone can participate in the online bidding, with funds benefiting various community projects, medical services and resilience programs for the North Shore.

Saturday June 6 – 44th Annual Haʻena to Hanalei Run
This 8-mile course begins at the end of the road in Hāʻena at Keʻe Beach, then traverses the scenic stretch of road, and one-lane bridges,
along the breathtaking North Shore towards Hanalei town, ending at the historic Hanalei Pier. Also held is a half marathon, 5K run and a 1-mile youth run.

Outrigger Canoe Club Regattas
Held on Hanalei Bay, a regatta is a local Hawaiian outrigger paddling event featuring races with traditional outrigger canoes.

July 18 – KOA Island Championships
Saturday July 25 – Annual Hanalei Bay Swim Challenge (HBSC)
Hosted by the Namolokama Canoe Club, this event has been named one of the top 100 American Open Water Swims by the World Open Water Swimming Association.
It consists of five fun and competitive races including the Hanalei Pier swim for keiki 12 & under, 1000- and 3,000-meter swims.

Saturday August 8 – Na Pali Challenge
An annual world-class, long-distance outrigger canoe race, renowned as one of the most beautiful and challenging outrigger events in the world. The race is typically
38 miles long from Hanalei Bay, around the majestic Na Pali Coast cliffs, and finishes on the west side of the island. Exact course and distance can change based on ocean conditions and safety requirements.

Early August – Waipa Music and Mango Festival
Held annually at the Waipa’s Community Complex. A full lineup of entertainment provides a musical background for learning about and tasting mangoes in numerous
dishes prepared by local food entrepreneurs and farmers. Shopping for handmade local products and hands on activities for keiki and adults.

Waioli Town Park (Hanalei Soccer Fields). Picnic, Laser Tag, Mobile Skate Park, Kids Games, Kickball, Music and More.

Sunday September 27 – 12th Annual Ohana FitFest
An annual obstacle 5K run/walk and 10K trail run presented by North Shore Give (previously known as Kaua’i North Shore Community Foundation).

Early November – North Shore Fine Arts Exhibition
Talented local artists display paintings and sculptures; free to the public.

Early December – Santa Claus Visits Princeville
Where: Princeville Community Center

Mid December – Princeville Christmas Parade
Get your bike lights and festive outfits for the ride. Gather at Princeville Community Center parking lot. The parade starts at 5:15pm and follows the Ka Haku walk path from Prince Albert Park to the Hanalei Bay Resort.
