Makana North Shore Urgent Care
Open to both tourists and residents of Kauai’s North Shore. Makana North Shore Urgent Care is a fast, affordable alternative to emergency room care for patients with non-life-threatening conditions.
The Makana North Shore Urgent Care uses board-certified medical professionals to offer a wide range of medical services, including: general urgent care services, lab tests and diagnostic services,COVID testing, diabetics testing, drug testing, women’s health services, and the majority of common illnesses such as skin irritations, abdominal pain, migraines, sore throat and sever cough, allergies, eye and ear infections, insect bites, sports injuries, broken bones, lacerations, wound care as well as ocean and beach injuries.
The Makana North Shore Urgent Care facilities are located at 4488 Hanalei Plantation Road, Princeville and open daily from 7am – 5pm. There is also a pharmacy on site and most major insurances including Hawaii Medicaid are accepted.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our North Shore community, we did it! Every dollar of our goal was raised, the state-of-the-art ultrasound machine was purchased, and was officially handed over to Makana Urgent Care on Tuesday October 21, 2025. See the announcement here.
The equipment is already in use—helping doctors provide faster, more accurate diagnoses and improving care for patients every day. This achievement reflects the heart of our community: neighbors coming together to make a lasting difference in local healthcare.

They’ve been there for our keiki with fevers, our aunties with injuries, our kūpuna in emergencies. In a place where access to medical care is limited, Makana Urgent Care is nothing short of a blessing.
Now it’s our chance to give back with the “Gift of Health”.
We’re raising the last $35,000 (of the total $75,000) to purchase and donate a state-of-the-art ultrasound machine to Makana Urgent Care — giving them the tools they need to diagnose and treat our community even better.

Hale Le’a Family Medicine and North Shore Urgent Care
The Hale Le’a Family Medicine Urgent Care provides both primary care (long term, ongoing, chronic) and urgent care (same day) services, including family practice medicine, treating all forms of chronic and acute illness and injury, including pediatric, adult and senior health care.
The clinic acts as a community access point for other services including Complimentary and Integrative Medicine services, individual and family counseling, physical therapy, therapeutic massage, acupuncture, family planning and reproductive health care, preventive medicine education, screenings for cardiovascular risk, high blood pressure, diabetes, as well as breast, colon, prostate and cervical cancers.
